Norwegian (Nynorsk) is a small language, and there have never been much =
software in Nynorsk. The release of KDE 2.0 in Nynorsk has been noticed =
well outside the traditional Linux community.
Open source software is obviously a great opportunity for "small" =
languages. I wonder, how many of KDE's translations are in the same =
situation as Nynorsk?
When I say "small" languages, I don't mean the number of users, but the =
languages commercial companies thinks are unimportant and not profitable. A =
good measure might be if MS Windows is translated to the language or not.
Regards,
Gaute Hvoslef Kvalnes
