I just fixed two bugs that prevent KDE2 from beeing localized. So everything should work now if you configured kde-i18n with --prefix (it doesn't care about $KDEDIR currently). You may have to rerun kcmlocale though (and remove kcmlocalerc before). Other than that: I've added the Qt messages to the kdelibs messages catalogue, so you should be able to translate the printer dialog and others too. But this adds of course another couple of items and many of them aren't used in KDE - as I just greped over Qt's source, but some classes have their own KDE way (like the file selector). But if it's not too much trouble, I would like to keep it this way.
