I have released krumple-0.1 today.

Krumple is an installer generator. Krumple takes a source .tgz as an argument,
an outputs an executable script, which, when run on the user's machine
displays a GUI similar to install-shield which compiles and installs the
software from the source tgz to the hard drive. It also registers all
installed files with the kiss (KDE Installation SyStem) database.
The executable installer script, when run with the argument "-tgz"
reconstructs
the source .tgz file on the user's machine - which is suitable for users who
prefer command-line compilation and installation - thus eliminating the need
for distributing two installation packages for each program.

I would very much like to see krumple translated (be made available to
generate multilingual installers) into as many languages as possible
(translating it once will make all generated installers multilingual - at last
KDE programs will be multilingual from the download and installation stage).

Currently translated languages are English and Hebrew.
Support for right-to-left languages in translation (alignment, ...) is also
available.

Please note that since the generated installer is a perl script (and not C++),
it doesn't support standard message files, but uses another system (a
collection of functions I wrote for it). Feel free to send me an email and ask
