Hello all,
I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask, but I've been struggling to get \
Japanese input on my system for two days and got nowhere.
My system is a Fedora 29 KDE edition.
Plasma version: 5.14.4
Frameworks version: 5.53.0
Qt version: 5.11.3
Arch: x86_64
I've tried most of the things I found online, but most of them are at least 5 years \
old info.
I've installed fcitx but whenever I activate it nothing happens.
I've tried adding the Japanese keyboard layout, and each variant of that, and I can \
only get Katakana on one of the variants.
I wanted to send an email to the KDE Japan email list, but I looked through it's \
archive and I only see spam in the last couple of months, which led me to believe \
that the email list is dead.
