We tried once (the Arabic team) to use Pootle and it was really a bad idea. Many and many of commits (with Pontoon it's even worse), working around version control bugs by having each file modified, no control over quality, no context when searching (there is but it's not sufficient), bad performance, etc. But I support using something like Gnome's Damend Lies. The SVN-only is not that much user-friendly for everyone. Regards, Safa On Tue, Nov 6, 2018, 9:31 AM Subin wrote: > Hey, > > I saw 3 emails on this list with "pontoon" text in body before > mine. Hello.
We tried once (the Arabic team) t= o use Pootle and it was really a bad idea. Many and many of commits (with P= ontoon it's even worse), working around version control bugs by having = each file modified, no control over quality, no context when searching (the= re is but it's not sufficient), bad performance, etc.
But I support using something like Gnome's Damend Lies. The SVN-o= nly is not that much user-friendly for everyone.

=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0=C2=A0 We're also planning to release a Linux distro = for our state Kerala
with KDE as DE and Malayalam language. And the translation would be more effective and easier if it's in Pontoon : it supports SVN too, so can b= e
