I have found a great tool for checking where does the program take translations from, it's called lsof: $krusader $lsof | grep krusader.mo krusader 5118 andrej mem REG 8,20 150515 955892 /usr/share/locale/sl/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo QInotifyF 5118 5119 andrej mem REG 8,20 150515 955892 /usr/share/locale/sl/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo $KDE_LANG=x-test krusader $lsof | grep krusader.mo krusader 5246 andrej mem REG 8,20 150515 955892 /usr/share/locale/sl/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo krusader 5246 andrej mem REG 8,20 150636 936798 /usr/share/locale/x-test/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo QInotifyF 5246 5247 andrej mem REG 8,20 150515 955892 /usr/share/locale/sl/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo QInotifyF 5246 5247 andrej mem REG 8,20 150636 936798 /usr/share/locale/x-test/LC_MESSAGES/krusader.mo The Ubuntu version is 1:2.4.0~beta1+git76+de1ea35-1.1, so I decided to test the 2.4.0-beta3 you mentioned. I haven't found a precompiled package on packages.ubuntu.com, so I just installed the 2.4.0-beta3 version from Debian Sid and to my great surprise: the translation is working flawlessly now. I have no clue how German/Czech and Russian translations work on the Ubuntu version, but Slovenian not, but everything seems to be fixed in 2.4.0-beta3. Best regards, Andrej
