I am glad to hear that. Sorry for not answering sooner but I am away
for vacation until June 24 and today I have internet for the first time.
Sorry if my answers seem short but it would be more convenient
for me from at home.

Trying not to repeat what Federico wrote... Some of your questions
should also be covered by the kajongg help documentation, please
have a look at it.

I implemented the classical chinese variant as played in Germany.
This book
http://www.amazon.co.uk/exec/obidos/ASIN/0297813404/mahjongforuni-21
should contain all terms.

You can also google for 4winds, this windows game has a very good
online manual covering all major game variants.

> 1. What is 'winner rule'?

this should be explained in the existing kajongg docbook. It is a rule
that is only applied to a winning hand.

> 2. 'points' means total score, or score for each 'rule'?

Should be the score for a rule, I hope I have been consistent
with it. Every rule can either define points,
doubles or limits. Special hands often get you the limit (the maximum
possible total score for a hand) but there are game variants where
a fraction of that amount may be given.

> 5. What is 'Last Tile Taken from Dead Wall'? Did you mean from the tail of
> the wall?

Yes. Also called kong box if it is used only for refilling after having claimed
a kong. Or living end against dead end. There are so many
variations...

> 6. What is 'Mah Jongg with Original Call'? Your 'Mah Jongg' means to win
> this hand, right? What is 'Original Call'?

If a player makes a "call at origin" in the first round, he declares that he
only needs one tile for mah jongg. He must not change its hand until
he gets that tile, or he "violates original call" and cannot say mah jongg.

In general, I did not want to cover all rules in the online manual, but
maybe I should reconsider (after KDE SC 4.5). I hope to add more
game variants, and if they are all in the docbook, there is a lot to
translate while most players only need rules for their national
variants. Documenting even only the major variants is a big task
in it alone, something that 4winds already has done very well.

> 8. What is 'Twofold Fortune'?

claiming kong, claiming kong with replacement tile, saying mah jongg
with replacement tile. Please see 4winds or google (put both word in
quotes) for a full explanation.

> 9. The 'Blessing of Heaven' means you win this hand right after getting
> your hand, without getting any more tile, right?

yes, if you are east, otherwise blessing from earth (after getting the
first tile)

> 10. What is 'East won nine times in a row'?

if east won nine times in a row, he gets the limit points, and the
winds rotate.

> 11. What is 'False Naming of Discard, Claimed for Chow/Pong/Kung/Mah
> Jongg'? 12. 'False Declaraction of Mah Jongg' means you claim to Mah
> Jongg, but actually not? Why would it be 'by one/two/three players'?

Several penalties for false claims that mean damage to other players.

> 13. What is 'Own Flower Own Season'? I know what your flower and season
> mean, but I don't understand what this means.

The flowers and seasons are numbered 1..4, 1 is east and so on. So
if east has flower 1 and season 1, he gets a doubling

> 14. What is 'Dragon'?

There are wind tiles and dragon tiles (blue/white, red, green)

> You have 'Little Three Dragons', 'Big Three
> Dragons', and 'The Three Great Scholars'. Are 'big three dragons' and
> 'the three great scholars' the same?

I believe the latter only applies to a winning hand.

> 16. 'False Color Game' means true color game with something like 東南西北中發白,
> right?

sorry, I cannot read chinese. But a false color game is all the same color
with any number of dragons and winds allowed.

> 17. What is 'Terminals'?

All color tiles 1 and 9

> 18. What is 'Honors'?

winds and dragons

> 19. What is 'Hidden Treasure'?
> 20. What is 'Winding Snake'?

those are special hands.

I hope, this is of help to you. I am not sure if I can answer you
again before June 24 (except for the next few hours)
