"If you specify a name here, you can invoke the command from the view command
lines with exttool-the_name_you_specified_here."

What are "view command lines"?


Also 
#: kateexternaltools.cpp:588
"You can elect to save [...]"

The term "elect" is quite uncommon. Might "select" be more appropriate?
Is it maybe a typo after all?
