I would be careful about citing Facebook on an open source
mailinglist; many in the open source community have blend
feelings about the company, not to say total distrust.
Many (decent) articles on the internet have traced various
FB shareholders to ultra-right-wing neocon groups and even
to the CIA. See:

In the user agreement for FB there are (apparently, I'm not
myself on FB) clauses permitting US authorities to
scrutinize your profile and all data, since all the main
servers are US-based. Well, it's a choice...
