For some time now, several teams are translating KDE 4 in the "summit",
where continually a single branch is translated, without having to go back
and forth between stable and trunk. I feel that the concept is reasonably
track-proven by now, so here is an article describing it in more detail:
http://techbase.kde.org/Localization/Workflows/PO_Summit
The article also contains some notes on when (I think) the summit would not
bring anything special to a team, as well as a separate section on possible
disadvantages, and how to achieve something similar with Lokalize on a
personal level (in case some Lokalize users didn't find that out yet).
