In my eyes you are absolutely right, but these problems occure at least since the release of Dapper Drake 2,5 years ago. I posted a lot of bug reports, talked with devs and fixed as a member of the german Ubuntu translation team a lot of issues manually. With Intrepid Ibex the situation is the worst ever and this is so frustrating that the german upstream KDE translation team decided to stop working actively in the Ubuntu translation project. Since I was the only one caring about german Kubuntu translations (including Adept and the Kubuntu specific stuff) this will probably be unmaintained in the future. I gave up, since I lost my hopes that it could be possible to fix Rosetta/ Launchpad in a way it does not harm our work. This as a very sad situation and it has to be possible to address these problems. Regarding Adept I would like to add, that when Adept2 was maintained in kde's svn and translated by the KDE translators, these translations have not been included in the tarballs and have been offered in Rosetta for translation as well. For german I uploaded the translation manually to Launchpad to make use of them for Kubuntu and avoid Ubuntu's translators to translate it once again. But I am quite sure this happened for other languages. This should be avoided in the future for Adept and other Kubuntu apps :-( I hope I did not created too much bad feelings. Kind regards, Jannick Kuhr
