Actually, the amarok team decided to "import" (via svn:external) the libplasma 
code, that includes also the Messages.sh script that generates libplasma.pot.

What I can suggest you is to translate only the one in kdebase (the "real" 
one), and to synchronize the extragear-multimedia version whenever amarok 
will release.
