  I m following those steps but it seems bit complex.Can u help to make it simple.
  I have a squirrelmail.po file which needs to be translated in hindi.Please find the \
attached file.

https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/indlinux-hindi  list, where hindi \
translation work is discussed.  also tell which PO files you are intending to take up \
for translation, as there are couple of people working on some.
