The tag was created as this:
/tags/KDE/3.5.6/kde-i18n (von /branches/stable/l10n:623900)

So everything translated in 623900 of stable/l10n is in 3.5.6. And if I look 
at kmail.po, all your commits are 624350 and later. It's every release the 
same, if you want to have updated translations in KDE 3.5.6 then you need
to have it in SVN by the time 3.5.6 is tagged - and that was January 15th.

All your January 17th commits are all for a 3.5.7
