No, msgmerge only replaces/removes comments starting with #. and #,
(and line references in the Uniforum format, which is not used in KDE).

It is just recommended to have a space after the # for a normal comment, so 
that such a comment has no special meaning for msgmerge (not even in future 
versions).

PS.: yes, Scripty used to remove all comments, but that was changed long ago, 
as it was useless, counter-productive and slow.
