Hello dear KDE translators,

in Kig we have some i18n strings that represents math formulas, like
"x ² + y ² + %1 x + %2 y + %3 = 0" (a) and "rho = %1 [centered at %2]" (b),
with all the placeholders to be replaced with values.
As we are trying a clean solution to avoid something like: "... + -5 x + ...",
So my question basically is: is it necessary to have strings like (a)
translated? I mean, they are visible strings, but it seems that many i18n
teams leave them as they are, or changing the amount of whitespaces.
Of course, strings like (b) - that contain english text * would be preserved
as they are.

Cheers,
