OK OK OK!!! Enough

I thought I had provided feedback that would help clarify this whole
long long thread. But clearly not.

Objectives of Pootle
--------------------
To be a web-based translation tool that firstly provides the ability to
perform online translations. To become a translation management system
that helps teams do there job better. But most importantly to work with
existing translation teams, not circumvent or replace them.

You can discuss issues at translate-pootle@lists.sourceforge.net. or
irc://irc.freenode.net/#pootle

Its being developed in part by translate.org.za the South African
localisation project. We have 11 languages to translate across about 4
domains. So we now the pain of managing translation and want to make it
easier to manage and to volunteer. But and this is a big but we want
quality and community ·

Can it commit?
--------------
I personally have a KDE CVS account. The files from Pootle are via KDE
cvs (probably anonymous). There is no way .. never ... ever that I'm
about to touch anybodies language files. Pootle will not do that even
when it can commit directly to CVS it will still require a team member
to make those commits. And a team member in this case would be someone
with KDE CVS access aka the existing language team. We are still
actually debating how best to do this anyway. Is that clear enough?

Joining
-------
Having said all this there are teams that have expressed interest in
working with Pootle (not necessarily in KDE) and we're working on fixing
and adding features to Pootle to help them. Most of these people are
interested in expanding the pool of translators and translation teams.
Making management of translation easier.

If you want to work with us and help address problems and issues then
please help. If you can code Python then even better.
