I think that I understand now more what you have meant.

However there seems to have been a sort of misunderstanding. My goal was only 
to save the existing translations, not really to make a ready-to-use 
desktop_kdebase.po

But I suppose that it is not too problematic, as filiing the msgstr of the 
non-translated queries can probably be done with one of the Gettext tools 
calling a script. So I will look at that tomorrow (but I will leave to the 
teams to run the script, so that they can choose.)
