It seems that PowerPoint calls it templates .pot too. :-( 

So WebCVS think sthat a .pot file is a Powerpoint file and "kindly" serves it 
so.

You should discuss with the WebCVS owner to see if he can change the setting 
for KDE's WebCVS.
