For KOffice, yes, it would be better if you use that branch. (You have until 
next year for a KOffice CVS HEAD.)

Perhaps you should wait until Scripty has worked on this branch (or use 
msgmerge yourself), as otherwise you risk to translate the wrong strings.

As for Scripty support, I have no luck yet. Stephan Kulow and David Faure seem 
away, so the patch that I have sent them is not committed yet.

To avoid any misunderstanding: for KDE, of course, you should keep using CVS 
HEAD. :-)
