Well actually kbabel does minimize the extra work. There was a few days when 
auto-add to the database did not work, but that works again now, so it is not 
so bad having it two places as long as we know that is the way it is supposed 
to be. They will overwrite each though won't they, if I install koffice a 
couple of months from now.
