Hi Nicolas,

thanks for the pointers. I do know the UPU documents (I really tried to dive 
into this dull topic :). From what I understand, that 
formatting_international_address_en.pdf does not say that it's always on the 
last line, but that it depends on the country the item is posted. However, 
the two examples both are of countries with the destination country 
positioned below. Still, the switzerland example illustrates that the 
LC_ADDRESS way of storing all in one tag line is not sufficient, as you need 
info specific to the country of origin and not only of the destination. 
Another example is that in some countries capitals are customary, in others 
not.

Regarding Japan I really hope I'm not a complete fool now :) When I now 
searched for it again, all examples found sadly were for letters from outside 
to japan only. Info on that the country name should be above was for example 
in http://www.softwaremarketingresource.com/internationaladdressing.html. 
There were more resources saying this, but I can't find them right now 
*blush*. Maybe someone from Japan can enlighten me on this. I'm really 
getting confused.
