Usually "deinflection" is the process of finding a verb's
simple dictionary form. For example "ate", "eaten"
-> "eat" (in English) or "tabemashita", "tabete" -> "taberu"
(in Japanese). The method is almost trivial in English
(simple lookup) and not too difficult in Japanese (the
inflection system is fairly regular).
