What guarantee do you have that the first form is for singular ? ;-)

More seriously, I think that this translator should simply provide the usual 
two English forms, and not puzzle the translators with such special comments. 
Look at the time we've lost on that thread, and the risk of errors. Even if 
that message is never used for n == 1 due to the C++ code.
