And that's correct. KDE_2_2_2_RELEASE is a point in the time of the branch.

Of course it will be. The release is in the past, you know. You can't add stuf
to kde 2.2.2, it's out already. But you can add to the 2_2_BRANCH (although I'm not
sure who's going to package that...)

If anyone wants the latest 2.2.x stuff, he should use 2_2_BRANCH, so he'll
get your stuff.
