Hi...

I realize that we are in a message freeze ATM, but.... (I know those are
probably not the words you want to see an email prefaced with ;-)

kiconedit was the usability project's "app of the week" last week ... this
ended up in me ripping apart many internals and putting it back together,
fixing a rather large number of bugs and crashes ... unfortunately, even
though no new functionality was added (in respect of the code/feature freeze)
two or three strings were changed slightly (truncated, mainly...)

i would really like to commit these changes for 3.0 so that kiconedit is
released in a usable state as opposed to how it is now. however, i wouldn't
dare do this without asking the translation teams first ... if this is OK
with you folks, please let me know (CC me if you would, as I'm not on this
list)... if it isn't, please let me know as well ... 

i'm sure we can ship with a broken kiconedit for one more release without too 
much trauma, but it would be nice not to.. ;-)

p.s. just so you know that this isn't a regular habit of mine, i have several
other changes waiting to be committed that affect strings that i have no
intention of committing until 3.0 is out and the message freeze lifted. =)
