Hello, I'm an Italin KDE's user. All people I know using KDE told me I have
to set UTF-8 to view correctly translated program of the kde-i18n team. But
how? My SuSE Linux 7.1 with KDE 2.2.2 compiled from KDE 2.0.1 on
AMD-ATHLON-1.4GHz with gcc 2.95.3 and linux-kernel 2.2.18 use ISO-8859-1. In
the KDE menu of "Language and Country" I see "Set of character" and appear
ISO-8859-1 to ISO-8859-10, ISO-8859-13 to ISO-8859-15, ISO-10646-1, koi8-r,
koi8-u, microsoft-cp1251, tis620-0. The question is: have I to change there
the language set of character? And if it is so what is the right setting?
Please help me. I'm going to be crazy. I used the kde-i18n-it like it is (in
UTF-8) and then all the stress (à,è,é,ì,ò,ù) appears like a strange
character. How do I resolve?
A disperated Linux user :)
