Hi all,

Some more information, after further investigation. The second problem (lack 
of menu entries), is due to a synchronization problem between the docbook 
files and the po templates. po2xml seems to be working fine.

For example, in KDE_2_2_BRANCH, one finds:

While in the DocBook file, one finds:

kdeutils/doc/ark/index.docbook:

action="simul">&Ctrl;<keycap>n</keycap></keycombo> </shortcut>
<guimenu><accel>F</accel>ile</guimenu>
<guimenuitem><accel>N</accel>ew</guimenuitem>

Please note the missing "menucombo" and the change Ctrl => &Ctrl;.

This also means that all the languages are affected, not only French (where a 
dozen docs do not compile because of this problem).

To fix this, we need:
- up-to-date templates
- to merge docs again
- and to finish translations for the few fuzzies and new messages that will 
appear due to this merging.

The alternative is to accept that some work that we did will not get in for 
2.2.2. Personally, I'm not too enthusiast to do that, it has been a lot of 
work to finish some docs in time, and to have an older version in the 
tarballs because of a synchronization problem is somehow discouraging.

There's a good probability that the first problem (missing <anchor>s) has the 
same cause.
