You should send questions like this to kde-linux@mail.kde.org, in stead of 
this group. This group is a actually developer group, not a user group
Having that said, here is a possible solution to your problem:
Look in Gnome for a program called "switchdesk" or type 
switchdesk
in a terminal.
In Switchdesk you can choose your favorite desktop.
