Interesting.
In konqy, it doesn't loop forever.
The text appears (only one line, but it seems ok - hum I need to
re-implement "View Document Source" ;))
and the width of the page seems very very big (maximise the window to see
the text, it's centered) - but that might be another example of
'width=5000' HTML code.

Anyway, the behaviour seems correct compared to khtmlw.
