Hi folks !

We are a small groups that has been working for a while on breton
translation of KDE.

For those who wander what the hell breton is and who speak that
language, breton is the language of Britanny, (Breizh in breton,
hence the car national sign BZH, with Nantes/Naoned as a capital
and Rennes/Roazhon plus Brest as major cities), a country at the
west end of France once fully independant (until the 16th century),
at present (but how long for ;-) the scot an welsh example may give
ideas) under french administration, with about 4 million inhabitants.

It is a language of celtic origin, close to the welsh and the
cornish (say the brittonic branch of celts), and to a lesser extend
to the irish, the scottish gaëlic and the manx (say the gaëlic branch).
The number of speaker is not precisely known, but may be roughly
estimated between 400.00 and 650-000, despite centuries of repression
from the french administration. Breton language fighter won a full
school system in breton, ranging from kindergarten to university,
and the language is gaining some place in the economic and
aministrative fields.

Iso code is "br", attached is our flag, called gwenn-ha-du (white
an black), for it misses any other color.

So far we have been working on .po files. From the 1.0 distribution,
we have completed all but kdenetwork and kdemultimedia, we also
started working on klyx and koffice. We intend soon starting
translation of help files.

My questions now :

- who do we give our po files and how, so that they may start being
  distributed ?
- what is the convenient (SGML) editor for working on help files ?
- what about the .kdelnk files of every application ? I know how to
  patch them so as to have the breton name an tips on any menu item,
  but in the development tree, where should I add these translations ?
  Is there ONE central version of every .kdelnk file, who must be
  checked-out and edited every time a new language is added ?
- what about kcmlocale resources, such as our flag and the name of
  other languages in breton ? Same treatment as previous question ?
