Previously, I pointed out that there were three major types of CDs: Audio, Data, Blank (with there being various types of Blank CDs). So, when you record something on one, it is no longer Blank so it becomes either a Audio CD or a Data CD, and we can attach an emblem to indicate the type of content. With DVDs, this is the same except that there doesn't appear to be any physical difference in audio DVDs (again, there are various types of Blanks). So, it is much simpler with DVDs since you only have one icon (at least that is the way we were doing it). So, Blank disks don't have any emblem on them and disks have an emblem if they have content. Perhaps it isn't sufficient to presume that blank disks are recordable, but is there any way to actually determine that a Blank disk is actually recordable? -- JRT _______________________________________________ Kde-hardware-devel mailing list Kde-hardware-devel@kde.org https://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-hardware-devel
