Hi Gregor, I have read your comments on Phabricator but am unable to reply there, = so please excuse me using kde-games-devel. I think the Waste theme for KMines is a great idea, but I agree with = Albert that cigarette butts are not such a good idea. Where I live (Australia) smoking has been banned in workplaces and most = public places for a number of years, because most of the garbage from = them goes into people=E2=80=99s lungs =E2=80=94 with horrific results, = as shown (by law) on Australian cigarette packets. The habit of smoking = is in decline here. So cigarette butts on Australian streets are a rarity. On hiking tracks = they are a definite no-no, because of the danger of bushfires, as would = also be the case in California and Southern Europe I imagine. Curiously, non-smokers have become more sensitive to =E2=80=9Cpassive = smoking=E2=80=9D. I can pick up the whiff of a cigarette on a railway = platform from about 20 metres away and then I start to cough. Even = smokers now go outside their houses to smoke, because it makes the house = smelly and grubby, unpleasant for guests and hard to sell. So I was dismayed to find, on my last trip to Europe in 2008, how = prevalent smoking still was over there. It was a definite turn-off in = what was otherwise a wonderful trip. Smoking is a health problem. Solve that and the garbage problem from = cigarette butts will go away. Even before smoking bans in Australia, bottles, cans and plastic = packaging made up by far the greatest parts of the trash on streets, = beaches and hiking tracks =E2=80=94 and still do. So please use those = items in the Waste theme. You need to worry about your 6-year old nephew having no fish in the = oceans, rivers and lakes when he grows up, not to mention the ugliness = of plastic garbage today. Maybe you could emphasise re-cycling or re-use = somehow. If you do stay with cigarettes as the theme, please use the word = =E2=80=9Cbutt=E2=80=9D for the throwaway part. =E2=80=9CStump=E2=80=9D = is used for broken trees and posts and amputated limbs. And please use butts in the graphics, not whole cigarettes. One rarely = has the luck(?) to find a whole cigarette on the street=E2=80=A6 :-) Cheers, Ian W. > On 21 May 2019, at 4:27 am, gregormi = wrote: >=20 > View Revision > gregormi added inline comments.=20 >=20 > INLINE COMMENTS > View Inlineaacid wrote in kmines_waste.info.md:8 > These licenses don't really seem valid according to = https://community.kde.org/Policies/Licensing_Policy >=20 > "Media files such as images may be licensed under the CC-BY-SA-4.0 or = compatible licence." --> This license looks compatible but I am not a = licensing expert :( >=20 >=20 > REPOSITORY > R404 KMines >=20 > REVISION DETAIL > https://phabricator.kde.org/D21277 >=20 > To: gregormi, KDE Games > Cc: aacid, mlaurent, kde-games-devel
