X-MARC-Message: https://marc.info/?l=kde-games-devel&m=105488898122102 Hello, I'm interested to add support for the REKO cardset format to the KDE cardgames. The REKO format is a cardset format used by some card games on Amiga nd PC. There exist many cardsets in this format. You can find some on http://go.to/rekonet . My fist question: Is there a interest for this? If yes, than I have some more questions below. I found the kcarddialog class in the KDE CVS. I thought this would be the right place to add the support for REKO cardsets. But unfortunaly this Dialog only gives the file and directory names for the cardsets back to the application and not direct the images. But in the REKO format, all cards are included in one file, so it is not possible to give a directory back which includes the card files. How can formats like the REKO format nevertheless supported by the KDE card games? I see the following solutions: 1) Rewrite the kcarddialog in this way, that it returns images (QImage?) instead of filenames. I think this would be the cleanest solution but that means also that the games which uses the dialog must be rewritten to use the new dialog. I like to rewrite the kcarddialog in this way, but I don't like to rewrite the kcardgames by myself. 2) Add a conversion or maybe better called a import function in the kcarddialog to convert other file formats, in my case the REKO formats, to the PNG files used by the kde card games. 3) Write a separate convert program to make this mentione in 2. But I think this is not very comfortable for the user. What dou you think? What is the best solution?
