Sounds like just a repository of formats, which this isn't.

The EventViews library (in kdepim) is exactly such a library.
It could be called KCalendarWidgets or KCalendarViews :-)
But even if it's not named like that, that doesn't make the "Core" in
KCalendarCore wrong at all.
