Another solution: catch mouse events for the desired QWidget types, use \
QGesture::grabbedGesture to check if they are subscribed and if not subscribe them.

Re-implementing this from scratch in its most basic form isn't difficult, but getting \
all the border conditions right (like what to do when the mouse moves out of and back \
onto the widget) must be tedious at best.
