Correction: the event filter could of course be provided by a QPA platf=
orm plugin and installed at the application level. But what would be th=
e interest of that if no widgets subscribe to a tap-and-hold gesture? W=
hy would code grab that gesture if it cannot be certain that the requir=
ed event filter is installed?
