On the other side, not having the version available breaks the expection of the \
version number immediately available in the "Info" box, as most of the other \
applications do (even with multiple tabs, see Scribus).

I disagree with the version number not being of interest generally. I think that most \
of If Neon patches the version number to be the same as the operating system, it's a \
downstream problem.
