After all this enthusiasm built around the "memory game", I've created a repository in kde:pairs with my KMemory proof of concept where I'd like to start exploring all this areas. I think it makes sense to use my project as a base because it's really simple (around 400 LoC) and it already has some features we need. Marco Calignano (the guy who started the other thread) and I, we started working on it again and I think we could make it for 4.8. Our current plan is: - Enhance the theme infrastructure: extend the application into supporting different game types, not just the pictures but also text or audio (video is too complicated for the moment). Also we plan to make the theme format distributable as a single (tar) file, which will be convenient for sure. - Simplify a little the UI according to annma's document and the feedback that we'll get (hopefully) when we have it working. - Try to get as much bugfixing as possible, because we're just not perfect ;) In my opinion, if we get the 1st point done it should get in for the next release so that we can have people working on themes and we can get a finished version for 4.9 or 4.10. In the end, it's a quite simple application that will need a lot of feedback from its users, I'll hope you'll help as much as you did to create the specification. We'll get back at you whenever it's useful, for the moment you can find it in the KDE repositories in case someone wants to help! Cheers!
