I know, and I agree we there should be an option to make the curves
smoother.
Gaps in the middle are a big problem.

There were no objections on ReviewBoard, so I suppose I will commit it.
However,  Kig's maintainer is
Pino Toscano (http://edu.kde.org/kig/) and I think you should get his
approval.
