After I cleaned my system everything worked as expected. First I got the 
message that gmm++ wasn't install (which was correct because I've only had 
the version from kdesupport). After installing gmm++ it was recognized 
correctly.

and btw There is a small typo in kdeedu/step/CMakelists.txt on line 6: The 
library is called "Qalculate" and not "Qualculate". Would be nice if someone 
could correct this.
