As Anne-Marie asked me to post a quick example of how to use QPicture to 
display SVG i've done it. It can be found at 
http://edu.kde.org/development/svg.php

Beware it works for the sample SVG i've used to test it works but someone at 
#kde-devel said "it sucks" so it may not render correctly every SVG out 
there.
