I am the creator / maintainer for the KMessedWords and KHangman, and this= is=20 the email, that I feel I need to answer; It was sent to Anne, but the EDU= =20 develoment got it, namely me. > > And what's worse: Both programs don't even tell their users that=20 everything > > is about English words only. The KMessedWords has it's own dictionary, you probably already know that.= In=20 there you can change the words into any language. True, that the=20 documentation is a little bit outdated, but it specificaly says, not, tha= t=20 words are in english language, but, that they can be changed. > The words for KHangMan are stored in text files like easy.txt and in=20 easy.txt > you have just a list of words, one word per line. >=20 > Is xml better than text? > I prefer using simple text files because it's easier for a teacher to c= reate > a simple text file with words than a xml one. >=20 > Please do tell us how to get that properly i18n'ed. Anne: We have a REAL problem here... I am really not sure, weither i18n()= =20 would be a good idea fr the programs, like KHangMan and KMessedWords, bec= ause=20 setting that would mean (would it), that the shown words are the same=20 language as the KDE. What would happend, if someone wud want to play in=20 ANOTHER language? Ideas wuld be nice here :) Regards. ~W. - --=20 I have Linux installed, but it just doesn't want to make coffee... -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.0.6 (GNU/Linux) Comment: For info see http://www.gnupg.org iD8DBQE8yI7PL5CL5+bU9csRAqsBAJwJ2zvZY4wxC7usl9pqEv+JRVE/4wCfQ9bZ cWA6y5OqgFqOob4jWtpKWrg=3D =3Do9IR -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- _______________________________________________ kde-edu-devel mailing list kde-edu-devel@mail.kde.org http://mail.kde.org/mailman/listinfo/kde-edu-devel
