Hi,

I wound up modeling my solution on one I found in kmail's main.cpp:

First,  #define KSTARS_VERSION "0.8"

then, use KSTARS_VERSION in KAboutData instead of VERSION

If it's good enough for kmail, it's good enough for me!  :)
