Well I have 
/usr/lib/qt (1.45)
/usr/lib/qt2 (2.3.1)
/my_develop_path/qt-copy (QT3 beta) -which is also $QTDIR. 
the first entry of $PATH points to $QTDIR/bin 

I can neither compile qt with nor without threading support. 
What else can I try?
