Not sure if this even is close to this list, but here it goes.

Got the libkfile problem taken care of.  When I am linking I'm getting the 
following error

libtool: link: cannot find the library `/usr/lib/libfam.la'

I have the following files
/usr/lib/libfam.so
/usr/lib/libfam.so.0
/usr/lib/libfam.so.0.0.0

I have checked the fam-oss rpm, it does not provide the libtool archive.  
Does anyone know where this file is to come from?
