Hi,

KDE developers try to make their code work on all supported systems.
However, most developers don't have the 15 OSes or so installed to test
every change to ensure it works. What is required is for developers
using the OSes which the KDE developer is not using to submit patches.
I have never seen such a patch rejected.

This is an Open Source project, contributions are welcome. Don't expect
a volunteer developer to learn the fine distinctions between all the
UNIX variants.

Ciao,

Dre
