Hi!
  No, it doesn't work, too. I didn't test it formerly because we use NS in our
work for this purpose (because konq from 2.1 doesn't save the cookie) and it
works.
  BTW, it was a *big* difference waiting for NS4.72 to render the page. It 
contains a big table of incidents and it downloaded it in full (over 350 kB)
before it rendered even a single pixel.
  Konqueror redraws the table several times, but it is much more pleasant
for the user than the dummy wait on the white screen.
