I had the problem here as well. It seemed to be an encoding problem, because 
the problem was gone when I changed KMail's settings to use an unicode font 
for messages ... I thought. This time the message again was blank. Manually 
setting the encoding worked, but is still strange.

Even message->view source gave a blank window...
