There's even a 2400x1600 version w/ names on it, now:

I'm working on a method to output a large picture of europe alone, 
since it isn't nice for all the developer names overlapping. Currently, 
this involves creating a _huge_ picture (6000x4500) and using gimp to 
crop everything but europe. Problems:

1. automatic creation isn't possible
(maybe imagemagick's convert can be used?)
2. My laptop has not enough ram (128M + 128M swap)

To all the ones that suggested additional features:
Help yourself :-)

I'll gladly send the coordinates to everyone who wants to experiment 
(sans names that say anon=y, of course) with zooming, clickable 
imagemaps which lead to people.kde.org pages, web interfaces for adding 
/ modifying entries, and everyone who wants to convert this into a 
debian-stype developer database.

They're all nice ideas and worth implementing, but I've got not enough 
time for that :-(
